Publication record

Every deploy of this site writes a manifest listing the SHA-256 of each published file, and anchors that manifest into the Bitcoin blockchain via OpenTimestamps. The point is that publication times here do not depend on trusting this server, or me.

How to check a claim yourself

1. Open the manifest for the publication you care about.
2. Download the listed files and run sha256sum -c against it to confirm the content matches.
3. Run ots verify <manifest>.ots to confirm the manifest existed before a given Bitcoin block, which no one can forge after the fact.

Proofs are incomplete for a few hours after publication, until the anchoring transaction is confirmed. That is normal.
